EUPeace Doctoral Mobility at Philipps-Universität Marburg

As part of the EUPeace Doctoral Mobility, I completed a research stay at Philipps-Universität Marburg, working with Dr. Michael Börner at the Department of Social & Rehabilitation Pedagogy, Institute of Educational Science.

The mobility focused on advancing the dissertation on inclusive organizational culture, exploring how workplace learning, ethics-based diversity management, and participatory approaches contribute to fostering a sense of belonging and inclusion within contemporary organizations.

During the stay, I continued intensive work on his dissertation, making full use of Philipps-Universität Marburg’s resources, including the university library and digital research databases. I have also delivered a lecture within the International Perspectives on Inclusion project and visited several educational and research institutions to exchange practices on curriculum design, inclusion, and workplace learning. In addition, I conducted a comparative analysis of Educational Sciences curricula at Philipps-Universität Marburg and the University of Sarajevo, identifying overlaps, gaps, and opportunities for joint teaching and course alignment.

This research stay strengthened both the academic and practical dimensions of my doctoral work, providing valuable opportunities for international collaboration and exchange within the EUPeace network. The experience deepened my analytical and comparative perspectives on inclusion in education and organizations, while also laying the groundwork for future joint research and teaching initiatives between the University of Sarajevo and Philipps-Universität Marburg.
