UNSA STAFF TRAINING WEEK

International Staff Training Week (commonly referred to as Staff Week) is a five-day event organised by a higher education institution — typically through its International Relations or International Cooperation Office — featuring seminars, workshops, presentations, and active participation of both domestic experts and international partners.

In addition to professional sessions focused on university internationalisation processes, the programme includes social and cultural activities, as well as opportunities to experience local cuisine and traditions. The event provides a platform for connecting partners, faculty members, students, and international relations officers, fostering collaboration and the exchange of ideas.

The International Relations Office of the University of Sarajevo launched this initiative in 2017 as a pilot activity within the Erasmus+ Capacity Building project Strengthening Internationalisation in Bosnia and Herzegovina Higher Education (STINT). The aim was to bring together staff engaged in implementing incoming and outgoing mobility and international projects, encouraging open discussion on good practices, challenges, and potential solutions.

Today, the International Relations Office of the University of Sarajevo organises two International Staff Training Weeks annually, typically held in spring and autumn, continuing to strengthen UNSA’s role as a key regional hub for international cooperation and academic exchange.
