unsa 2nd international staff training week

15-19 October 2018

The International Relations Office was the organizer of the 2nd International Staff Training Week for teachers and associates whose scope of work involved international activities. The training week was intended for those responsible for the implementation of international cooperation at higher education institutions. The theme of that year’s training week was “The Bridge of Internationalisation between the European Union and the Western Balkan Countries.”

The focus was placed on mutual credit mobility of students, teachers, and associates within the Erasmus+ programme, identifying and defining challenges and solutions, as well as promoting the concept of “internationalisation at home.”

The training week was attended by representatives of the following universities:

  • Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria
  • University of East Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic
  • University of Paris 8, France
  • Catholic University of Lille, France
  • Technical University of Belfort-Montbéliard, France
  • University of Bologna, Italy
  • University of Marburg, Germany
  • University of Porto, Portugal
  • Ondokuz Mayis University, Turkey

The presentations held on 15 October 2018 were attended by representatives of the University of Sarajevo, who were introduced in more detail to the programmes and offers of our foreign partners.

As part of the programme, a one-day visit to Mostar was planned for our foreign partners on Tuesday, where they were to attend the “International Day” organised by the Džemal Bijedić University of Mostar. In their absence, the International Relations Office invited vice-deans, coordinators, and associates from the University of Sarajevo to dedicate that day to a workshop with local participants, presenting the work of the Rectorate and (sub)organizational units of the University of Sarajevo in the field of international cooperation and the analysis of mobility implementation.

Our foreign partners also had the opportunity to present their institutions once again at the Ninth Scholarship Fair, which was held at the UNSA Rectorate on 18 October 2018, from 10:00 to 16:00.
