As the title says, this is an exhibition of photographs of students/staff members from B&H higher institutions who participated in the Erasmus+ exchange which shows insight into their experience and motivation for mobility.
Behind idea of “Exhibition+” is Adnan Rahimić (MSc), Senior International Relations Officer at the University of Sarajevo. This idea was transferred into a project application which was sent to the open call for WBAA grant (Western Balkan Alumni Association). Project was selected and received a grant that made it possible to produce photographs. Certainly we should NOT forget the openness and support given to us by the students and staff of the Universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina by sending us their most beautiful photographs to be shown at this exhibition, as well as support by of the Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Nikolić (2016-2020) and the Head of the IRO, Dr. Jasna Bošnjović.
“Exhibition +” was part of the agenda of the “3rd International Staff Training Week”, which took place from 14 to 18 October 2019 at the University of Sarajevo. The exhibition “Exhibition +” – the story of Erasmus+ through photography was held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Sarajevo.
After its presentation in Sarajevo, the project creator was invited to Brussels to present the project at the annual meeting of the Executive Agency for Audiovisual, Educational and Cultural Support (EACEA) was held in Brussels on 14 November 2019. This event hosted Erasmus + National Agencies, National Erasmus + Offices and international contact persons within the actions of Marie Sklodowska Curie.
The project was presented by mr. sci. Adnan Rahimić (project coordinator) where in his introductory speech he mentioned that this and other projects of the mentioned organizations represent a real mirror of relations and successful cooperation at the local, national and regional level in the Western Balkans and opposes any stereotype about us that is usually created in countries. members of the European Union.
It was emphasized that this project is intended for further and innovative promotion of the Erasmus + program through the experiences and photos of students and staff from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the hope that they will gain insight into their experience abroad, and that it is designed as an additional motivation to apply for future Erasmus+ calls.
After the official presentations, each agency, offices and alumni association promoted their work in separate exhibition rooms, with the idea that all participants group themselves and learn more about the offerings and activities of other countries or organizations. A special jury was among the visitors who judged the promotional material and posters. At the end of the event, the jury announced its decision where the “Exhibition+” project together with another project of the Western Balkans Alumni Association (regional project “Magic of Successful Project Writing” from North Macedonia) received an award for its achievements in the Western Balkans and Europe. The presentation of the selection of photographs received qualifications such as: inspiring, creative abroad, capturing the true essence, innovation – which is the message of the University of Sarajevo and the Western Balkans Alumni Association through their projects across the Western Balkans and Europe!
The photos from the “Exhibition +” project were purpose-printed and transferred to Brussels for this special occasion, where they were further transferred to the premises and offices of the European Commission in Brussels and will serve as a permanent exhibition and promotion of the Erasmus+ program, Western Balkans Alumni Association and University of Sarajevo.
