TRAINEESHIP

The Erasmus+ Incoming Traineeship at the University of Sarajevo offers students from partner universities a chance to gain a few months of international work experience in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After being nominated by your home institution, you will be matched with a UNSA faculty or department. The traineeship must be connected to your studies or career goals, and all applications are handled through your home university’s Erasmus+ office.

At UNSA, traineeships are available across a wide range of fields:

  • Arts: Academy of Fine Arts, Academy of Music, Academy of Performing Arts
  • Humanities: Faculty of Islamic Studies, Faculty of Education
  • Natural Sciences: Institute for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Faculty of Forestry

Language course: Incoming Erasmus+ staff and trainees often organize short language courses or workshops at the University of Sarajevo to promote multilingualism and cultural exchange. These courses, offered free of charge, allow students and university staff to learn or improve a foreign language while engaging with international perspectives. Activities may include conversation sessions, intensive courses, or thematic workshops (e.g. “Spanish through Music,” “French for Mobility”). Participants usually receive a certificate of attendance, and all activities are coordinated in collaboration with the International Relations Office (IRO) and relevant faculties.

Administration: International Relations Office: The International Relations Office (IRO) of the University of Sarajevo welcomes Erasmus+ interns to support its activities in international cooperation and mobility. Interns assist with daily tasks such as communication with partners and students, event organization, promotion of mobility opportunities, and administrative support. The internship provides hands-on experience in international project management and higher education administration, while offering valuable insight into the Erasmus+ program and student services.
