The International Relations Office of the University of Sarajevo, in cooperation with vice-deans and coordinators for international relations at the university members, as well as in communication with partner institutions throughout Europe, opened calls for both-way mobility.
Approximately 50 students from the University of Sarajevo were given the opportunity to stay abroad the following semester, while 40 students from abroad chose the University of Sarajevo as the host for the following semester. On that occasion, a Welcome Day was held for foreign students who will spend the winter semester of the 2021/2022, mostly through the Erasmus + program. Students come from Austria, Estonia, France, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden and Turkey.
Respecting the epidemiological measures, the Welcome Day was held at the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo, where students were introduced to the University of Sarajevo, city of Sarajevo, and with academic, administrative and practical information that will help them get around the city faster and better. In cooperation with the Erasmus Student Network student association, we enabled them to “pair” with local students in order to facilitate their stay and provide information about life in Sarajevo.
Exchange students will stay at the University of Sarajevo until the end of February 2022, when they officially finish their teaching obligations, and we hope that in that period they will achieve positive results and experience.
