The Biology program consisting of study and characterization of living organisms and the investigation of the science behind living things. The most biology courses will have core modules focusing on subjects such as cell theory and molecular biology, evolution, physiology and adaptation, gene theory, and homeostasis after which you’ll be able to choose an area in which to specialize such as cell and molecular biology, ecology and evolution, environmental biology, genetics, microbiology, natural science, physiology, and many others.

Physics degrees offer students the chance to understand the world around them in all its enormity and complexity. Broad topics of study could include electricity and magnetism, relativity, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, fluid dynamics and geophysics.

There is much overlap between Chemistry and other scientific subjects. Chemical processes and the composition of elements play a large part in the study of living organisms and matter’s relationship to forces. At undergraduate level, this will often take the form of elective modules, though specialized courses are also an option. Graduate study will certainly involve specialization.

In Mathematics you can expect to study a range of introductory courses in your first year, covering key mathematics topics such as abstract algebra, calculus, complex numbers, differential equations, geometry, number theory, probability and statistics. You’ll then move on to more advanced study, and will need to choose from a range of elective courses. Computer science degrees deal with the theoretical foundations of information and computation, taking a scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications.

Teaching
Teaching methods include lectures, seminars and personal tutorials, practical sessions, group design, guest speakers. This is all arranged in correlation with lectures/ professors. You will also spend a significant amount of time in doing personal study.

Language
Lectures are given in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian. For exchange students it is possible to organize special consultations in English regarding their work, research, exams, paper work or mentorship. You have to check with the Faculty’s coordinator before applying for this institution.
